Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American writer, singer and actor well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. The actress began her career as a stage artist during the 1950s starting with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. After that, she acted on Broadway in a variety of performances until 1957 in which Li'l abner was huge at the National Theater. She also released her first album, titled It's Time to Tina during the same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden, in God's Small Acre, a drama from 1957. This film became hugely popular and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. In 1964, she signed with CBS as a character, Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career across Broadway TV and Hollywood, portraying more somber roles, as in contrast to her portrayal of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary, although she was an accomplished television director on several series including Supernatural & The 100. The family she was born into moved from Essex to Toronto, where she spent childhood and adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and has lived there since.
