Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her works. She advocates human rights for animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. The daughter of a family of artists living in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. She started as a photographic assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. She received her Golden Globe Award, for the most promising debutant. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained the world to her and also an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, she was named the top female box office participant in the entire world. In 1972, her foot-prints along with her signature were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. The actress has appeared in a variety of other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw has been married 3 times.
