Sharni Vinson is an American-born Australian actress, dancer, born on 22 July 1983, in Sydney Australia. In 2001, she was selected to appear in two episodes of the Australian Soap Opera Home and Away. The show was able to select her for the main character in the soap opera in Australia Home and Away as her performance in this limited role was so compelling that the casting agents requested her to play various roles. The actress auditioned but did not get the role. On the exact same episode, Cassie Turner got the role in the role of a troubled teenage girl who was in foster care.
